Latest Update on Site:

Introduction

olympic torch with cubsRaglan Road Cubs meet on a Wednesday from 7pm to 8.30pm.
Our cub pack leader is Lloyd (Akela) and is ably assisted by Graeme (Baloo), Sheila(Raksha) and Ronnie (Baghera).

For every term, we put together a balanced programme of fun, activities and opportunities to earn badges! We want to provide the cubs with the opportunity to learn, try new things, have fun and make great friends.

Parents are key to our success.  Please actively review this site to find out about events, weekly activites and downloads for the cubs to complete badges.  Each term we have a parent rota and we hope to have 1 or 2 parents each week helping us run the evening.

If you need any information and can't find it on this page, then please speak to any of the Leaders on a Wednesday evening, or fill in a form within the "Contact Us" section in the left hand pane of this site.

Summer 2015 - Term Schedule

The below takes us to the end of Summer term 2015, once we plan further sessions for Sept 2015 onwards this table will be updated.

For every term we will focus on completing a Challenge Badge (our aim is for the cub to achieve their Chief Scouts Challenge Silver Award before they move to Scouts).  For this term the cubs will be completing the Adventure Challenge Badge.   Cubs will also be completing the Pioneer Activity Badge and the Backwoods Cooking Activity Badge.

To Complete the Adventure Challenge Badge, cubs will need to complete a worksheet at home - click here for worksheet

Activity Badges

During each term we will run activites that allow the cubs to earn many badges, including the challenge badges which should earn them the Chief Scouts Challenge Silver Award if they complete them all.

We also welcome cubs to obtain badges for themselves by completing activities at home under supervision by the parent/carer.

The table below provides the list of badges that can be completed at home, click on the pdf file to download the worksheet for your cub to complete.

Please can the parent/carer supervise the activity and provide help as neccessary.  Once the activity is completed please sign the relevant section of the worksheet, the cub will need to bring it along with any other items required as part of the badge to their cub pack meeting for a leader to review and award the badge!
