Cubs are boys and girls aged between 8yrs and 10½yrs old but in some cases children can join from slightly younger if it is considered appropriate by the Leader.

Cub Scouts wear a simple uniform consisting of a dark green sweatshirt and the Group scarf. Cubs meet once a week and work towards their own Challenge and Activity Badges

Cub Scouts go to Camp once or twice a year. These camps are held at special campsites belonging to the Scouts at places like Dunham or Ashworth Valley.  At Camp there will be organised activities and a traditional camp fire in the evening.

Our group has two Cub Packs, one at Raglan Road and one at Woodbourne Road.  Cubs can join whichever pack is most convenient for them.  New Cub Scouts can come along for a few weeks to try it out and see if they like it after which they would be expected to join the Group.  When they join they are 'invested' by taking the Cub Scout Promise.

For details on how to join contact the Cub leaders or turn up to one of the meetings and talk to a leader. For details on subscriptions see the "Useful Info" page.
